At Open Arms we hold a high standard for the education and wellness of each rider and horse, as well as maintaining fairness, and creating a safe and bonded community that focuses on each student’s goals and abilities.
Taking horseback riding lessons is much more than just riding a horse. It is working as a team to achieve goals, overcome fears, learning how to communicate and express yourself. Creating partnerships, as well as putting others’ needs before your own. Working with horses help build self-esteem, and confidence, while teaching students about time management, responsibilities, problem solving, patience, dedication, discipline, and perseverance. Horseback riding also has many physical advantages such as; posture, balance, muscle tone, coordination, mobility, and focus.
